Learn how signing in affects your saved information, preferences and use of Austi Classics Pro across devices.
Some Austi Classics Pro features can be used without signing in. Information saved only in your browser or on your device may remain local to that device.
If you clear your browser data, change devices or use a different browser, locally stored information may not be available there.
Signing in allows supported account-based features to be associated with your Austi Classics Pro account.
This can make it possible for supported information and preferences to remain available when you use Austi Classics Pro on another device or browser.
The exact features available may change as Austi Classics Pro develops, but account-based information can include supported items such as:
Local information is stored in the browser or device you are currently using.
Cloud information is associated with your account and may be available when you sign in on another supported device or browser.
Not every feature necessarily uses cloud storage. Where a feature offers both local and cloud behaviour, check the relevant Help page for more detail.
Preferences control how supported features behave for you.
Depending on the feature, preferences may include choices such as which annotation sets are enabled, reading options or other display and application settings.
You can choose which annotation sets you want to display while reading.
Where supported, your selection can be remembered so you do not need to choose the same sets every time you open a text.
Learn more about annotations →If you use Austi Classics Pro on more than one device, sign in with the same account when you want supported cloud information to be available across those devices.
Locally stored information may remain specific to the browser or device where it was created.
If account-based information does not appear as expected, check:
Signing out disconnects the current browser session from your account.
Information stored locally in the browser may remain on that device, while account-based information remains associated with your account.
Use your own account and do not share your sign-in details with other people.
If you are using a shared or public computer, sign out when you have finished using Austi Classics Pro.
Avoid saving private or sensitive information in bookmarks, annotations or Class activities unless it is necessary and appropriate for the way you are using the service.
