Classes

Classes provide a shared space for teachers and students to use Austi Classics Pro together.

What are Classes?

A Class connects a teacher with a group of students inside Austi Classics Pro.

Classes can be used to organise shared reading activities and other learning features associated with the texts available in the app.

For teachers

Teachers can create a Class and invite students to join it.

Create a Class

Create a new Class for a subject, year group, text or other learning activity.

Invite students

Share the Class joining details with the students who should have access.

Use shared learning features

Use the Class as the basis for shared reading, annotations and other supported teaching activities.

For students

Students can join a Class using the joining information provided by their teacher.

Classes and individual reading

Joining a Class does not prevent you from using Austi Classics Pro for your own reading.

Your personal reading features, such as bookmarks, can continue to be used alongside Class activities where supported.

Managing a Class

Teachers can return to the Classes area to view and manage Classes they have created.

The available management options may depend on the features enabled for the Class.

Privacy and appropriate use

Only join Classes that you are authorised to access, and only share Class joining information with the intended participants.

Teachers should use their organisation's normal policies and procedures when using Austi Classics Pro with students.

Class features are intended to support teaching and learning. Do not share private or sensitive information unless it is necessary and appropriate for the learning activity.

Future Class features

Classes may support additional teaching and learning features over time, such as shared activities, quizzes, written responses and teacher feedback.

This Help section can be expanded as new Class capabilities become available.
